#GivingTuesday with The Good Rural

On Nov. 30th, The Good Rural will celebrate #GivingTuesday – a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of radical generosity to transform communities and the world.

This year, we ask that you consider making a gift to  The Good Rural to support Advocating for more resources for rural & disenfranchised communities.

Your donation will allow us to

  • Expand business workshops and technical training offerings for the community

  • Pay GED test taking fees for the community

  • Expand the stem field trips and extend capacity to provide more stem block parties to more underserved communities

All gifts, no matter the size, will open doors of opportunity to underserved communities both near and far.

Here are few highlights on how we are making an impact:

  • Feeding: 24,650 produce boxes in the community at the San Francisco Christian Center on Tuesdays and Wednesdays (April - October 2021)

  • Sent school supplies to 19 rural schools with quarterly deliveries, direct or through YouGiveGoods portal (Dec 20)

  • Supported the formation of the African American Early Childhood Educators of San Francisco (AAECE).

  • Sent out 100 Incoming Kindergartener kits to San Francisco students, $90 in value (7/2021)

  • Hosting StemFrenzies (Science) Workshop/Family Field Trip series in San Francisco on select Saturdays, in partnership with Stem2Heart & US Militaries.
