The Good Rural is dedicated to enrichment and social progress. The contributions of our volunteers is essential. We are looking for volunteers to help us on specific projects/programs or to commit themselves on a long-term basis.

• Research potential funders, grant opportunities, and industry trends • Write and edit grant LOIs, proposals, and reports in collaboration with the Senior Grant Writer

• Assist Development Systems Manager and Senior Grant Writer with administration tasks

• Write and edit fundraising or awareness-raising materials

• Provide support to fundraising and communication efforts

• Assist in preparing communications to promote The Good Rural events & workshops that enable our culture and encourage involvement, while also helping to elevate our brand and building relationships to foster our Good Rural community

Fundraising Intern

 • Research & connect with organizations, companies and people of impact

• Communicate via email and phone with contributors

• Develop, Launch, and Monitor Crowdfunding Campaigns

• Develop strategies to encourage new or increased contributions

• recruit sponsors, participants, or volunteers for fundraising events

• Secure commitments of participation or donation from individuals or corporate donors

• Prepare material for charitable events, such as fundraising envelopes, bid sheets, or gift bags

• Create or update donor database

• Establish fundraising goals or participation goals for special events or specified time period

• Identify or build relationships with potential donors • Design or produce materials such as posters, Web sites, or newsletters to promote, market, or advertise fundraising events

• Solicit cash or in-kind donations or sponsorships from individuals, businesses, or government donors.

• Write and send letters of thanks to donors.

• Write reports or prepare presentations to communicate fundraising program data.
